Our Service Journey

Hardwood floors are the most widely used wooden floors these days and for a very good reason. They are aesthetically pleasing, durable and can be restored relatively easily. We can not only restore your hardwood floors, but we can also completely transform its appearance.

Hardwood Floor Dust Free Sanding

Core of our services is of course dust free floor sanding. We use exclusively completely dustless German machinery by Lagler. Mix of years of experience, professional sanding techniques and top of the range sanding machines allows us to achieve excellent results and 100% customer satisfaction.

Hardwood floor sanding requires specialised knowledge, without which a floor can be damaged to the point it cannot be rectified anymore. Oak floors and similar species are beautiful and they last forever because they are so hard, but it also means that any error during sanding will leave permanent marks and scratches. We carefully select type and grit of abrasives for every stage of sanding to sand the floor back to bare wood and take away as little material as possible at the same time.

Our team of professionals will make sure that your hardwood floor is sanded down the right way from the very start of the job to provide the best finish possible.

Hardwood Floor Staining

Hardwood floors can really enhance your interior. Whether it is golden finish of oak or delicate warmth of beech, it is always a stylish feature of your home. But what if you want colour of your floor to be different? Luckily we can do something about it too! We can apply different wood dyes to change colour of your floor and completely transform your interior.

Once the floor is sanded down we can present you with a few colour samples to show you what we can achieve on your floorboards. We always make samples on floorboards we work on as only then you would get the right idea about achievable floor colour. Many companies provide sample boards to look at, but this approach only works on new floorboards. When dealing with old floors, every one of them is completely unique, because it is ageing in conditions unique to a specific room. That is why every wood floor restoration job should be treated as a one of a kind project.

Hardwood Floor Sealing

Completing the restoration of your hardwood floors necessitates the application of a protective sealant. Whatever enhancements are made to your flooring, long-lasting preservation is crucial. When it comes to wood floor finishes, two primary options stand out: varnishing and oiling.

In terms of maintenance and livability, floor varnish takes the lead in contemporary times. It epitomises the apply-and-forget approach, requiring minimal ongoing attention. Once applied, there’s no need for further intervention. However, after years of use, when the varnish eventually wears off, a sanding process to expose the bare wood is necessary, followed by reapplication.

The varnishes available today differ significantly from their traditional counterparts. Modern products are primarily polyurethane-based, water-based, and exude a subtle sheen. They are virtually odorless and offer a natural wood hue. Say goodbye to the days of garish, glossy orange varnishes. Nowadays, you’ll find that most modern and newly manufactured floors, readily available in stores, are sealed with varnish due to its widespread appeal.

Alternatively, hard wax oil presents another viable option for finishing wooden floors. This specific product, designed exclusively for flooring, combats the pervasive misinformation surrounding oil-based finishes. While some advocate for various waxes and oils, those are better suited for furniture and decorative wood. Only hard wax oil is purposefully engineered to endure the constant foot traffic over the years. Nevertheless, to maintain its protective properties and combat wear, periodic reapplication is required, typically every few years.
